About me
I’m Olly, I’ve been a qualified counsellor since July 2026 and have over 100 hours of experience counselling individuals with a variety of difficulties. I practice using an eclectic integrative approach. What this means is: counselling theories used and combined in a way that fits you best!
I specialise in working with neurodiverse and/or LGBTQIA+ individuals as a neurodiverse member of the LGBTQIA+ community myself.
My therapeutic base is relational. Working relationally places a lot of weight on the relationships we have both with other people and ourselves. It is my belief that to work relationally means placing the quality and depth of the counselling relationship as the most important part of the therapeutic journey.
Our past experiences are what shape us and dictate how we move through the world in the present and the decisions or perceptions we have of our future. It is my belief that as part of the therapeutic experience, the reasons for perceptions, sense of self and choices we make lie in our pasts. As such, I work with a trauma-informed approach as we may not always be fully aware of aspects of our past’s that impact us in the present.
I also believe that once we have an understanding of our reasoning behind our emotions, perceptions and actions we are then able to make the changes we want to. This often requires embracing our whole selves (the parts we like, as much as the parts we don’t) whilst working towards moving through the world authentically.
Throughout life’s ups and life’s downs finding and making meaning can be part of taking back control when we feel out of control or feel powerless. This often aligns with your values and can offer a place to start moving towards your most authentic self.
I work Tuesdays and Thursdays 10am-5pm and Wednesdays 1pm-8pm.
Each session lasts for one hour and can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on what works best for you.
There is a 24 hour appointment cancellation fee in place.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
