About me
Hello, and welcome. I’m Olivia, a Psychotherapist and Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counsellor offering both short and long term therapy to adults. I work in person in East Putney, Chiswick, Richmond and Wimbledon, South West London, as well as online and via telephone, providing a space that is thoughtful, confidential and curious.
Are you feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how you ended up feeling this way? Perhaps you’re functioning on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, low, disconnected or quietly struggling. Maybe life looks “fine” on paper, yet something doesn’t feel right, or you are at a point of transition and questioning who you are, what you want, or where you’re heading next.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling exhausted from holding it all together. They might be living with anxiety or depression, struggling with low self-worth, navigating infertility, relationships, loss, or a deep sense of confusion or isolation. Often, there’s a sense of being overwhelmed by life, or of feeling left behind, behind schedule, or out of sync with others.
I have a particular passion for working with people in their twenties and thirties. This can be such a transitory time full of possibility, pressure, comparison and change. You might be asking the big questions: Who am I becoming? Am I doing life “right”? Why does everyone else seem to have it figured out? Therapy together can offer you a place to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself amidst all of this.
My way of working is Humanistic and relational, which means I won’t analyse you or tell you what to do. Instead, I offer a supportive, accepting space where you can bring all parts of yourself, the parts that feel confident and capable, and the parts that feel unsure, messy or hard to sit with. I believe there is something deeply healing about being met with genuine curiosity and care, and about having your experience taken seriously.
Together, we can explore what’s been weighing on you, what might feel stuck or confusing, and what you long for beneath the surface. Therapy can help you make sense of your feelings, develop greater self-awareness, and build a more trusting relationship with yourself. Over time, this can support you to live in a way that feels more aligned, authentic and meaningful.
I offer both time-limited therapy (typically 6–12 sessions) and longer-term, open-ended work, depending on what feels right for you. Our work will be shaped collaboratively, led by you and your unique experience. I work relationally, meaning the relationship we build together can become an important part of the therapeutic process by gently bringing awareness to patterns that may also show up in your life beyond the therapy room.
My practice is underpinned by Person Centred, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis philosophy, and guided by the belief that, with the right conditions, everyone has the capacity for growth, self-acceptance and change.
Wherever you come from, and however your identities intersect, I aim to offer a space where you feel seen, respected and understood. Your experience matters, and it deserves time, care and nuance. If you’re wondering whether therapy with me might be right for you, I invite you to get in touch. You don’t need to have everything figured out to begin. Sometimes, starting with curiosity is enough.
What next?
If you’re interested in working together, I offer a free 20-minute introductory video call via Google Meet. This gives you the opportunity to ask any questions and to get a sense of how we might work together. The therapeutic relationship is central to the work, so it’s important that you feel comfortable and supported by the person you choose to work with. If I’m not the right therapist for you, I’m happy to suggest other resources to help you continue your search.
I offer both in-person and online therapy. My current in-person practice is based in East Putney, Chiswick, Richmond and Wimbledon, with locations accessible via the District Line and National Rail services. Sessions last 50 minutes and usually take place weekly at the same time.
Training, qualifications & experience
Prior to beginning my private practice, I gained extensive professional experience working in a variety of environments, including nonprofit organisations and Greater London mental health community services. I've also gained rich experience through volunteering for the crisis service line SHOUT, the UK's first and only free, confidential, 24/7 text service for those suffering with poor mental health. This experience has given me the opportunity to work with a diverse range of individuals across a broad spectrum of concerns.
I hold a Master of Science in Humanistic Psychotherapy, as well as a Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Psychotherapeutic Counselling from the Metanoia Institute in London. I hold the Certificate of Proficiency from BACP. I hold an undergraduate degree in Philosophy (International) from the University of Leeds.
I am a registered member of BACP, I am a trainee member of UKCP and I am a member of the Metanoia Institute. I abide by all of their ethical codes. I receive regular clinical supervision to support my practice and to ensure I am working safely and ethically.
I am committed to completing regular Continuous Professional Development to enhance my skills and knowledge.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
