About me

I am a BACP Accredited Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist with nearly a decade of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds with a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, both in the UK and internationally.

I believe no two people are the same, and therapy should reflect your individual needs, experiences and goals. My integrative approach draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred and Psychodynamic therapies, allowing us to explore difficulties in a way that feels right for you.

I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties and challenges arising from past experiences. I am currently specialising in trauma, including trauma within relationships, and developing my understanding of how these experiences can shape our emotions, beliefs and connections with others.

My aim is to offer a supportive, non-judgemental space where you can make sense of what you are experiencing, explore patterns that may be holding you back and develop healthier ways of coping.

I offer online and telephone counselling Monday to Friday, with face-to-face sessions available in Shrewsbury on Mondays, during the day and evening.

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, but you don't need to have everything figured out before you begin. If you feel I may be the right counsellor for you, I welcome you to get in touch to explore working together.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
