About me
Reaching out for therapy can feel daunting. You might be used to holding things together on the outside while inside feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure why the same difficulties keep repeating in relationships or within yourself.
I offer a warm, collaborative space where we can slow things down and become curious about what is happening underneath the surface. My approach is integrative, with strong influences from person-centred and psychodynamic thinking, which means I pay attention both to your present experiences and to the earlier relationships and environments that may have shaped them.
I am particularly interested in how we learn to be with others and with ourselves. Together we might explore attachment patterns, emotional blocks, questions of identity, or moments in life where things no longer feel sustainable.
Clients often tell me they experience our work as steady, thoughtful and deeply validating. My hope is that therapy helps you feel more understood, more connected, and more able to move forward in ways that feel true to you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I trained as a counsellor at the University of Edinburgh, where my focus was relational wellbeing, attachment, and the emotional processes that shape how we experience ourselves and others.
Since qualifying, I have worked extensively with adults and couples across a wide range of difficulties, supporting people through anxiety, relationship challenges, life transitions, loss, and periods of feeling stuck or disconnected. Through this work, I’ve developed a strong interest in how patterns form and how greater awareness can open the possibility for change.
My practice is grounded in person-centred and psychodynamic thinking. I prioritise emotional safety, collaboration, and a pace that feels respectful of where you are. Alongside exploring present concerns, we may also become curious about the earlier experiences and relational dynamics that continue to influence your life today.
Earlier in my career, I worked within specialist services supporting women affected by trauma and significant life changes. These roles shaped my commitment to providing therapy that is compassionate, trauma-aware, and attentive to the wider contexts people live within.
