About me

Hi, I’m Nuala Dyer, a qualified psychodynamic counsellor, Reiki practitioner and qualified mental health nurse (RMN). 

I’m registered with the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, the UK Reiki Federation and the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I am also qualified in CBT therapy and offer in-person counselling sessions as well as online sessions and Distance Reiki. As part of my private practice, I also offer bespoke mental health packages.

As a qualified mental health nurse, registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, I began working in the NHS in 1998 and qualified in 2004. I also trained in Reiki over twenty years ago and am registered with the UK Reiki Federation. I underwent counselling training by the British Psychoanalytic Council at Gloucestershire Counselling Service, and I am a fully qualified psychodynamic counsellor, registered with the MBACP. British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Free parking is available at 2&6 Therapy Rooms.

I offer a free 20 minute phone call so that we can speak with each other, get a sense of each other and whether we would work well together. 

Following this, if we decide to work together, then a 50 minute assessment session will be arranged at a fee of £55.  Weekly sessions after this are £55 for 50 minutes.
