About me
Hello, I’m Nova at Natural Space Counselling.
Are you looking for a confidential space to explore your needs, where you feel heard and free from judgement?
Together, we can create a calm, compassionate, and confidential space where you feel heard and validated. Creating a sense of comfort and trust is important for developing curiosity, gaining insight, and reconnecting with yourself. We will work with your preferences to explore any difficulties, while uncovering your natural strengths, resources, and ways of coping. Looking after your mental health is just as important as your physical wellbeing.
My background supporting people and working with trauma provides a strong foundation for my therapy work. My approach is relational and warm, person-centred, and pluralistic. I recognise that different approaches support different people at different times. My core Pluralistic training includes Person-Centred Counselling, Psychodynamic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
We work with what you bring, in ways that feel right for you.
Talking therapy can be combined with creative techniques to support you in exploring and expressing your experiences and feelings. This can help deepen understanding, support processing, and promote healing.
You might also prefer to work outdoors, in a familiar place. Nature can bring unique qualities to the counselling experience, becoming part of the therapeutic process itself.
We can work in one way, combine approaches, or move between them over time. I adapt my practice to suit your needs.
I can support you in making sense of your experiences, promoting healing, and moving forward feeling more grounded and balanced.
I work with a wide range of therapeutic issues and have particular experience supporting young people, ex-service personnel, care experienced people, neurodivergent individuals, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people who have experienced trauma.
My approach is often helpful for those who find it difficult to express themselves, feel uncomfortable sitting still and talking, or feel hesitant about beginning therapy.
