About me

Hello, I'm Nova at Natural Space Counselling.

My experience supporting people and working with trauma gives strong foundations to my therapy work. At the heart of my practice is a relational person centred approach with pluralistic principles and values; I believe different things work for different people at different times.

Working together we can create a compassionate, calm and confidential space where you are heard and validated. Shaping a safe enough space is vital to developing curiosity, exploring, gaining insights and reconnecting with yourself. Together we will work with your preferences to identify any issues and to uncover your natural tendencies, resources and strengths.

We work with what you bring in ways which work for you.

You might choose to explore your experiences through creative techniques which can support you to understand yourself better, and help you to process your feelings.

Or perhaps you would prefer to work outdoors, in a familiar space? Nature offers unique qualities to the counselling experience, with nature itself becoming part of the therapeutic process.

We can work in a combination of ways or transition from one way of working to another. I adapt my practice to suit your needs.

I can support you to make sense, to heal, and to move forwards feeling more grounded and balanced. I work with a wide range of therapeutic issues and I have specific experience of working with young people and with ex-service personnel, with people who are care experienced, neurodivergent individuals, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and people who have experienced trauma.

My approach can be helpful to those who find it difficult to express themselves, are uncomfortable sitting still and speaking, or who might feel a little hesitant to begin therapy.
