About me

At times in life, we are prompted to pause and take care of the pain we are experiencing.  You may be feeling low, anxious, deflated, or uncertain about how to make sense of who you are, your relationships, or your romantic life. Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, especially when what you're carrying feels painful.

With over 5 years of experience working with people navigating the complexities of life and relationships, I feel privileged to have been invited into a persons inner world and support them to live a life that is authentic and fulfilling.

We are all fundamentally unique, and I am deeply interested in understanding the beautifully complex "otherness" that shapes each of us. Rooted in an existential humanistic ethos, my practice holds space for questions of meaning, identity, responsibility, and what it means to live a life that feels more aligned and alive.

Therapy with me

I am a BACP Accredited Psychotherapist and Trainee Counselling Psychologist in Doctoral Training, working with adults seeking a deeper understanding of themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that shape how they move through the world. I offer a warm, reflective, and relational space in which clients can explore their difficulties at their own pace, with curiosity and compassion.

At the heart of my work is a belief in the power of the therapeutic relationship. Therapy is a collaborative and human process, a space where thoughts, feelings, and experiences can be explored together. Often, it is through being with another person that aspects of ourselves become clearer: how we relate, how we protect ourselves, what feels difficult to say, and what longs to be understood. I am attentive to these relational dynamics and gently support clients to notice what emerges, both inside and outside the therapy room.

I work from a sex-positive ethos and welcome people from all sexualities, gender identities, and cultural/faith backgrounds. My curious, non-judgemental stance allows space for you to guide the content of the session; however, I take a more active approach when helping you identify patterns and assumptions you hold that may be challenging to see on your own. As a pluralistic and integrative practitioner, I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach. My foundation is humanistic and person-centred, emphasising safety, authenticity, and trust. I draw upon Psychodynamic thinking to explore early experiences and unconscious patterns, alongside practical, present-focused Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques.

Training, qualifications & experience

My clinical experience across the NHS and third sector has nurtured my thoughtful, inclusive, and carefully attuned approach to supporting complexity and human differences. Particular areas of interest and specialisms can be found below:

  • Psychosexual, Intimacy & Relationship Difficulties: Working within a specialist psychosexual service at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, I support adults navigating performance anxiety, vaginismus, erectile and ejaculation issues, pain, pleasure, shame, desire, and identity. I also work extensively with individuals who do not feel confident in relationships or struggle with emotional regulation and expression.
  • Gender, Sexuality & Cultural Diversity: As a British Indian therapist with a background in Anthropology, I hold a deep curiosity about culture, belonging, and identity. I offer an explicitly gender-affirming, LGBTQIA+ celebrating space, supporting individuals adjusting to gender transitions, navigating the complexities of 'coming out', or managing neurodivergence (ADHD/Autism) and chronic illness (LTCs) within a heteronormative, neurotypical society.
  • Perinatal & Reproductive Mental Health: As a former Perinatal Lead, I have supported individuals and couples navigating the profound emotional transitions of becoming a parent, including fertility challenges, pregnancy, miscarriage, traumatic births, and postnatal depression or anxiety.
  • Crisis, Overwhelm & Deep Distress: I hold a longstanding commitment to supporting people through periods of feeling overwhelmed, hopeless, or suicidal. Alongside my clinical training, my five years of volunteering, mentoring, and training volunteers with the Samaritans ensures a deeply grounded, safe anchor during your darkest moments.

Additionally, I work with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, emotional overwhelm, loss and coping with significant periods of change or transition.

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what is going on for you or having the right words for what you are experiencing. Part of our work can be understanding that together, with curiosity about both the difficulties you are facing and the wider person you are becoming.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Further information

I offer both shorter-term and longer-term therapy, depending on what you would like to work on.

For more focused work, I often find that around 12–30 sessions can provide enough time for us to develop a meaningful understanding of what is happening and begin working towards change. Some people find that longer-term or open-ended therapy gives them the space they need to explore deeper relational patterns, identity, earlier experiences or difficulties that have developed over many years. We can think together about what feels most appropriate rather than deciding this in advance.

Sessions are usually 50 minutes and take place weekly.

My independent practice through Counselling Directory is currently online only, allowing me to work with clients across the UK.

Finding the right therapist for what you're experiencing is important to me. Before beginning therapy, I will consider with you whether my experience and way of working are appropriate for what you are looking for. If I feel that another clinician or service would be better placed to support you, I will be open about this and, where possible, help you think about appropriate alternatives.
