About me

A warm welcome, and thank you for taking the time to visit my profile.

Life can be hard at times and you might be  navigating depression, anxiety, sense of loss or feeling stressed and overwhelmed. You might have lost a loved one and facing bereavement or having a relationship or family problems. You might be feeling lonely or isolated, going through big life changes such as parenthood, empty-nest, menopause or retirement. I will support you and we'll make sense of it together and help you find steadier ground.

Human connection is at the heart of my work. I offer a warm, compassionate and safe space where you can speak freely without fear of judgement.

I appreciate that taking the first step toward therapy takes real courage. I know this from personal experience and I deeply respect your decision to begin this journey that opens the door to exploration, healing and self-care now. But you will not be alone, I will be there to support you and offer you a safe environment with warmth and compassion where you can be truly yourself without judgement.

I am here when you're ready.

My Approach

I adapt my approach to fit you as an individual because I believe that there is no single approach fits everyone. My aim is to support you in exploring your thoughts and feelings, at your own pace, helping you gain greater clarity and self understanding.

At the core of my work are empathy, compassion and respect. I am committed to offering a safe, accepting space where you can be yourself without fear of judgement.

At times, looking back to our past can help us understand how previous experiences are still affecting us now and how they shape the decisions we make in the present.

I see therapy as a joint process and the relationship between the client and therapist is central to meaningful therapeutic work. By creating and nurturing and compassionate built in acceptance, openness and genuine connection, you can begin to uncover your own resorces to heal, grow and thrive.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
