About me

My philosophy as a therapist is to meet you exactly where you are with warmth and compassion. It is important to me to provide a space where you feel safe to share your story in and feel seen and heard in your unique experience.

With 9 years of experience and as an Art Psychotherapist in the third and private sector, I have supported individuals facing various challenges, including Neurodivergence, Grief, Anxiety, PTSD, CPTSD, low mood and self-esteem, attachment difficulties, gender, sexuality, and identity issues.

My practice blends the use of Art Psychotherapy and IFS to improve your awareness of the parts of you that carry and manage your pain, through art and object making. You might shut down, act out, feel anxious, depressed, or isolated. You might have developed coping mechanisms that make everyday life, or relationships difficult. As your awareness of these parts grows, through an IFS lens, you can overcome and heal from the negative beliefs and burdens they may have picked up throughout your life. Art therapy can facilitate this relationship by visualising your parts as well as their fears, behaviours, and intentions in art or object, as a means of communicating and understanding your internal world through colours, shapes, and forms. The process of artmaking alone can be cathartic and can help convey thoughts and feelings that may be difficult to put into words. You do not have to be good at art, and there is no pressure to use art materials.

I strongly believe we all have the answers and healing already within us, and with the right support you can re-discover this and transform.
