UKCP Relationship & Trauma Psychotherapist

About me

You may feel stuck in patterns that keep repeating in your relationships, even when you’re trying your best to change them.

This can show up as overthinking, people-pleasing, emotional overwhelm, conflict, or shutting down and pulling away. Relationships may begin to feel exhausting, confusing, or painfully distant, leaving you wondering why the same difficulties keep happening despite your efforts to change them.

Many of the people I work with are insightful and self-aware. They often understand their patterns intellectually, but still feel emotionally stuck.

Often, these difficulties have deeper roots shaped by earlier experiences where emotional needs were not fully seen, understood, or safely held. Over time, this can affect self-worth, emotional regulation, intimacy, and the ability to feel secure and connected in relationships.

These patterns can also impact intimacy and sexual connection, leading to difficulties such as loss of desire, differences in libido, anxiety around performance, or sex beginning to feel pressured, disconnected, or emotionally difficult.

How I Can Help

I work with individuals and couples to understand and change the emotional and relational patterns that keep them stuck.

Together, we explore how these patterns developed, what continues to drive them, and how to create deeper, lasting change rather than simply managing symptoms. Therapy can help you feel more emotionally secure, connected, and able to respond differently within your relationships and daily life.

You may be struggling with:

Repeating relationship patterns
People-pleasing, resentment, or difficulty expressing needs
Emotional overwhelm or disconnection
High conflict or communication difficulties
Difficulties with trust, vulnerability, or closeness
Anxiety, overthinking, or emotional reactivity
Intimacy, desire, or sexual connection difficulties
The impact of past experiences on current relationships

My Approach

My work is grounded in EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Schema Therapy, allowing us to work at both a relational and deeper emotional level.

I integrate attachment-focused and body-aware approaches to help clients understand emotional patterns, process difficult experiences, and develop more secure and fulfilling ways of relating to themselves and others.

Sessions are available:

An Inclusive, Thoughtful Practice

I offer a warm, affirming, and reflective space where clients can explore their experiences openly and without judgement.

My practice is neurodivergent- and LGBTQ+ affirming, and grounded in openness, authenticity, and respect for the uniqueness of each individual and relationship.

Training, qualifications & experience

Training, Qualifications & Experience
I began working in the mental health field in 2019 and later founded Live Life Happy Therapy to support individuals and couples experiencing emotional overwhelm, relationship difficulties, and long-standing patterns often rooted in earlier relational experiences.

My work has a strong focus on attachment and relational trauma, particularly where clients feel stuck in recurring emotional or relationship patterns they struggle to shift alone.

I integrate EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Schema Therapy, and body-aware approaches within a relational framework, supporting clients to reconnect with themselves and develop more secure and fulfilling relationships.

Alongside my therapy work, I continue ongoing professional development in trauma, attachment, intimacy, and relationship therapy. I am currently undertaking a Level 7 Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy, working towards COSRT accreditation, further deepening my work with intimacy, desire, and emotional connection within relationships.

Outside of the therapy room, I enjoy horse riding and spending time with my family, both of which help keep me grounded in the realities of everyday life.

The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.

As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.

UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

NCPS
National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS)

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
