About me

Are you feeling stressed, anxious and unsure how to cope? Are you feeling sad? Has the current situation with Covid-19 brought sudden change for you? These are extraordinary times and it is understandable to feel anxious and uncertain. Together we can work through your issues and develop coping strategies.

Formerly based in Rainhill, now all our services are online. You can access sessions via Skype, Zoom and telephone, making accessing support easy and convenient.

As a qualified counsellor & psychotherapist registered with the BACP, I provide a professional and warm counselling service tailored to you.

Training, qualifications & experience

I gained my PG Dip Counselling & Psychotherapy from Liverpool John Moores University.
I am a registered member of the British Association Counselling & Psychotherapy, am fully insured and have an Enhanced DBS.

I am am also a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register and the CNHC.

I also provide an empowering and uplifting Life Coaching service.

I am am a fully qualified and insured Reiki Master Teacher and I provide Reiki sessions and training to all three levels of Usui Reiki.

Having undertaken additional training I hold certificates in NLP & Life Coaching; Advanced Diploma Clinical Hypnosis; Diploma in Clinical Hypnosis; Diploma in Life Coaching; 'How to break the cycle of depression'; Somatic Trauma; Animal-Assisted Interventions; Equine-Assisted Therapy; Child Grief & Grief in the Family;Working With Clients at Risk of Suicide; Working with Survivors of Rape and/or Sexual Abuse and Hypnotherapy.

I am also a Specialist Mental Health Mentor and provide a mentoring service for college and university students to help maximise their study potential.

I am committed to on-going professional development.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Our warm and welcoming premises at 9 Victoria Street, Rainhill, L35 0LB is right in the heart of Rainhill Village and is just a few minutes' drive from J7 off the M62, and just off the A57. There is free, private, onsite parking for clients.
One minutes' walk from a mainline train station serving Warrington, Liverpool and Manchester. We are also on the direct bus route from Widnes, Liverpool, Prescot and St.Helens. Easily accessible via public transport or car, we serve Merseyside and surrounding areas.
