About me

Have you found yourself recently feeling overwhelmed, emotionally stuck, or struggling to function? I work with adult clients, many of whom are struggling with anxiety, depression, recurring life patterns, unwanted behaviours or worries, relationship difficulties, change and loss.  My personal non-judgemental approach enables clients to voice concerns, become more self-aware and, above all, to heal.

Even 8-10 sessions can go a long way when touching on a certain aspect of your life or in terms of gaining self-awareness. You may find you gain insight into yourself and your relationships, experience less stress and anxiety, feel less isolated and be more able to make changes (or accept what you cannot). You may simply feel more hopeful or that life has more meaning.

I currently see clients face-to-face just outside Chipping Norton, as well as online. Typically we would have a 15 minute introductory telephone call so that you can get a feel for the sort of therapist I am and ask any questions you might have. Even if you are just curious as to how counselling works, or when might be a good moment to start, please do feel free to contact me and I will do my best to help.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

I work integratively which means I can draw on a rich blend of psychological theory, tailoring my approach for each and every client. I work in a trauma informed way whilst placing a strong emphasis on safety and client autonomy. Through the use of grounding techniques and other forms of emotional regulation, I am able to support clients in moments of distress by helping them stay connected to the present and feel contained when overwhelming emotions arise.

My premises are in a lovely private location with parking.
