About me
I am a psychotherapist and counsellor working with couples and individuals with a particular focus on relationship difficulties. I trained to MA level at a world leading centre for relationship therapy. I work with couples on their relationship challenges, whether it's conflict, a loss of connection, family and parenting challenges, or affairs. I also work with individuals who are facing relationship difficulties or more general challenges about managing their daily lives. On occasion I work with couples at the end of a relationship.
My aim is always to help people to have better conversations with each other and themselves as individuals, to find a fresh start.
I am a fully accredited member of the BACP. I have recently opened a beautiful new consulting room in the heart of Esher. I also work online if face-to-face isn't a practical option.
Training, qualifications & experience
After a career in marketing and business leadership, I decided on a fresh start, and trained to MA level at a world-renowned centre for couple relationships. I work with couples and individuals both short and long term, depending on what they want to get out of therapy. I am BACP Registered and Accredited, and have seven years post-qualification experience in private practice.
My business background can help me understand the pressures that busy families, couples and individuals face day-to-day, which can contribute to many relationship challenges and individual feelings of being pulled in different directions.
As a male therapist with a particular focus on relationships, I often work with men on what it means for them to be a man in a complex world, and with women who seek to understand more from a male perspective. I also have experience working with a number of same-sex couples.
Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
