About me
Hello and welcome to my profile. I’m Naznin a qualified Integrative Relational Counsellor.
I understand how difficult it can be to find a counsellor who you can work with, so I have tried to cover how I work below, and welcome any questions you may have.
As an Integrative relational therapist I am trained in a range of theories and approaches (eg CBT, TA and Gestalt) which I draw on to tailor the way I work to your individual needs.
As well as the theories, I strongly believe that the relationship between the client and therapist is critical, and by working together at your pace we can bring about positive change. For this reason I offer a free 15 mins telephone initial session for you to see if you would like to work with me and for me to get to know you and what you require from counselling. After this call you may decide to make your first appointment, or you may decide that counselling isn’t for you at this time. Whatever you decide is fine.
I provide a warm, approachable, non-judgemental space where you can examine issues that you feel are not healthy and need exploring.
I have many years' experience working in projects offering counselling to male and female clients of all ages, covering issues including; domestic abuse, depression, cultural/diversity, anxiety, agoraphobia, trauma. As a therapist from a South Asian background I have worked with many clients with cultural, relationship and family issues.
Whether you decide to work face to face, online via zoom or over the phone you will be attentively listened to and gain insight and understanding into what is troubling you.
I hope after reading my profile you feel that we could work well together. Please feel free to contact me by text or email if you have any questions or to arrange your free telephone 15 min initial session.
As a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP membership number - 374990). I adhere to their ethical framework for good practice, and have monthly clinical supervision and undertake regular additional training. I am fully insured and have current Advanced DBS certification.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
