About me

About me and how I work

I am a Psychotherapist and qualified member of the BACP. I work in an intergrative way, primarily as a humanistic therapist. I believe the relationship between myself and my clients is fundamental and I strive to offer an empathic and safe environment, as we work together and collaborate to gain insight and understanding. I am trained to work with a variety of therapeutic approaches, including Psychodynamic, Solution Focussed and Existentialist Therapies. I am able to work with you and tailor therapy to your needs as we get to know one another. I recognise that one size does not fit all and I can offer a way of working which would be most helpful for you.

What you can expect from Therapy

I offer a confidential, warm and safe space and help you to gain greater insight into what is going on for you. Therapy can help you uncover blind spots and together we can discover the root causes of the challenges you face. After spending time exploring where you are now, we can turn our focus to the future and map out what your hopes and goals are and how you can work towards them. During your therapeutic journey you can take time to connect with your values, belief, hopes and dreams, which in turn leads to a more fulfilling and rich life.

I work with adults aged 16 and over and I work with a broad range of people including those from the LGBTQ+ community and those with a BAME background. I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients from different cultures and experiences. I offer weekly sessions and the therapy can be open ended or 12 sessions, depending on your preference. I have a private practice in central London on Museum Street, WC1A and see clients face to face on weekly basis. I am also able to offer Zoom sessions or phone sessions due to the current pandemic and we can discuss which option is better for you.

What to expect in our first session

Our first session will involve an assessment, which will give us both the opportunity to decide if we want to work together. I will try and get a picture of where you are currently and you can ask me any questions you may have about therapy. We can then arrange a convenient day and time to begin.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
