About me

Hi, My name is Nav (she/her) and I am a therapist who works with people who are anxious, depressed and often struggling with identity and self esteem. Grief and loss are themes that often emerge, as I help you examine the shame you may have felt your whole life. My clients are predominantly from the LGBTQ+ community and are often BIPOC. I have over time developed a specialism for helping those with layered intersectionality and the challenges this brings when navigating the world, which can feel like a lonely place. We can work together and over time help you to establish deeper relationships and a clearer sense of self.

What you can expect from Therapy

I offer a confidential and empathetic space where we can develop a therapeutic relationship based on non judgement and honesty. Therapy can help you uncover blind spots and together we can discover the root causes of the challenges you face. We can explore the darkest and most difficult memories and challenges you face and you can begin to repair and change.

I offer weekly sessions and therapy is open ended, for as long as you want or need. I have an office in King's Cross for in person sessions and I also offer zoom sessions if that is your preference. If you are struggling get in touch and we can have a call to see if we are a good fit, you can ask me any questions you may have about me or therapy in general.

What to expect in our first session

Our first session will involve an assessment, which will give us both the opportunity to decide if we want to work together. I will try and get a picture of where you are currently and you can ask me any questions you may have about therapy. We can then arrange a convenient day and time to begin.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
