About me

The warmest of welcomes to my page. It’s my pleasure to meet you… and however you are feeling right now, that’s welcome too.

No one is as unique as you. It is my firmly held conviction that absolutely no one is beyond help.

Anxiety? 😥 Depression? 😓 Chaotic? 🤯 Destructive? 😡 Hopeless? 😔 Traumatised? Neurodiversity? We need all our resources mobilised to work together, supporting you get through this!

Everyone is different. So I don’t know what exactly brought you here, but maybe clarifying what the problem is, how those feelings are, expressing them somehow, can bring relief and release.

Feeling lost? We can't go where we want until we know where we are. Let's build a map together to help figure this out. Find some ways to regulate and kindly soothe as we go.

I am an integrative counsellor and sandplay therapist. This means I work creatively with many theories and techniques, always with the deepest empathic understanding and respect for what you are going through.

Let’s discover together the meaning of stuck patterns and destructive behaviours which seem so unhelpful. Together, we can figure out how to match your needs.

Working together with safety, respect, compassion, at your pace, can help us together make sense of what you have faced, where you find yourself, and where you want to go.

Please feel free to get in touch. Questions, queries, concerns? Let me know! You are warmly welcomed.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m an integrative, compassionate and creative, relational counsellor.

Every single person who comes for counselling is different. Your uniqueness is celebrated here - bring those shamed parts along!

Attending counselling is an opportunity for something new and safe. A different experience where your identities truly are welcome. I aim to witness the mystery at the heart of you.

We can be curious about how we have been through, affects us today, right here and now.

I'm not just a talking therapist, we listen to the wisdom of your brain and nervous system and hear the untold story. This can bring relief and self awareness. The thought that perhaps I am not so alone after all! Any knowledge I have, I share with you and I am proud to learn from my clients.

We really do go, together.

Do visit my website to find out more: https://www.counsellornatasha.co.uk/

I have additional training in trauma and complex trauma. This means you can expect a gentle place to be met and regulated. I appreciate how hard it is, the anxiety and depression rollercoaster, what you may have been through to cope. The messiness and the shame. Instead, maybe we can together create a  lightness, acceptance and mindful curiosity which can be gentle, helpful, safe and hopeful. This is a neurobiologically informed approach, helping empower you.

I am qualified as both an adult and children and young people’s counsellor. This means I can incorporate developmental ideas on what it means to be a human being, a holistic whole-lifespan approach.

I always consider the greatest expert on you, is you!

That being said, I have worked extensively with neurodiversity including ASC / Autism and ADHD. Your identities are welcome here and tell me when they don't feel welcome too :)  We learn and grow together in partnership.

Let’s look together at building a survival kit.

I’m not just a talking therapist, but a certified Sandplay therapist. So I pay attention to something very special and unique - I’m interested in the story you carry within that no one has yet heard.

Research states that paying attention to our breath and the body (where and how we sense and feel things) is essential to re-gaining balance and wellbeing. Sandplay and other creative approaches offer us excellent ways to incorporate this. You do not need to be artistic or even creative! Let the sand and symbols take the strain. Bringing relief in gentle ways of kindness, witnessing and compassion.

People find counselling and sandplay helpful for:

  • Identity, anxiety or lack of confidence or belief in self
  • Unhelpful relationship patterns or problems
  • Fear and trauma
  • Stress, lack of meaning, and depression
  • Loss, endings, change, and grief work

It may help to know a little about me. Prior to being a counsellor, I worked with the very young, right through to the very old, with particular focus on trauma and “otherness,” being and feeling “different,” homelessness, early years, and addictions

From this I have been privileged to witness the pain, shame, trauma, grief, sorrow, loss, courage, despair, chaos, mess…and smiles! I have been humbled to welcome all these and make meaning together, always with the deepest respect, compassion, and sincerity.

Beneath all the pain and tears, there is a wonderment to being you, perhaps together we can discover a sense of what that may be.

It would be my absolute pleasure to welcome you, too.

You can choose from welcoming and comfy therapy rooms in Bromley and Croydon. I can offer secure online or telephone working.

Do make sure to let me know any access needs you have.
