About me

My name is Natasha and I am a qualified counsellor, but so are all of my colleagues on this website. So how do you choose? I chose my first counsellor because of her warm smile on the photo and also her profile was very simple and personable. Something resonated with me and my intuition proved to be right. That is why I give all my new clients a free initial consultation.

I can offer you a safe and confidential space, my full attention and support to explore your feelings and emotions. I believe, that trusting and honest relationships between the counsellor and the client are important components of a successful therapeutic process, so if you choose me as your counsellor, we will work together to develop this trust between us.

Briefly about me: I am passionate about mental health and have experience of working in the mental health hospitals in Oxford. I also volunteer as a counsellor at Cruse bereavement care and this role is very important and rewarding for me. I feel privileged and humbled by being able to support my clients in the journey through their grief. For 5 years I have volunteered in different roles at Sobell house hospice (Oxford)  and had some training in palliative care support.

I believe that challenges in life can lead to our personal growth. In my practice I use the elements of “logotherapy”, developed by Viktor Frankl, the author of the book “Man’s search for meaning". The focus in this book is on love, hope, responsibility and inner freedom to choose our response in life’s situations.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
