About me
As a Clinical Psychologist, with over 18 years of qualified experience, I offer evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals, couples and families. With my multi-disciplinary team, I also offer diagnostic assessments and psychological interventions for neurodiversity, such as Autism and ADHD.
Therapeutically, I work in a person-centered, holistic and integrative way with people across the age range experiencing mental health or well-being difficulties, couples and families to help them overcome difficult experiences, unhelpful patterns of behaviour, limiting self-beliefs, anxiety, low mood and other psychological difficulties that are impacting their ability to live life in a rich and meaningful way.
We agree on a personalised approach, individually, as a couple or for your family that will help you overcome the difficulties you are experiencing. Whatever you are experiencing that has brought you to seek help, I provide a safe space for you to explore and understand your story and how it has impacted your life, while learning to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, develop resilience and live your life with meaning and richness.
With my multi-disciplinary team, I offer gold-standard, NICE compliant assessments for neurodiversity (ADHD and Autism) for children and adults. With every assessment, we develop helpful recommendations that support education and workplaces to implement appropriate and reasonable adjustments and adaptations.
I have worked extensively with people that are neurodiverse and their families as well as my lived experience as someone with ADHD and as a parent of children with neurodiversity.
Training, qualifications & experience
In addition to my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, I have additional, post-qualification training in a wide range of evidence-based interventions: Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and emotional regulation, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, other trauma-focussed interventions, specialist parenting for neurodiverse families, family-based interventions and couples therapy. I am also a trained supervisor and qualified to train practitioners to administer and score the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule.- 2.
Member organisations
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The HCPC are an independent, UK-wide health regulator. They set standards of professional training, performance and conduct for 16 professions.
They keep a register of health professionals who meet their standards, and they take action if registered health professionals fall below those standards. They were created by a piece of legislation called the Health Professions Order 2001.
Registration means that a health professional meets national standards for their professional training, performance and conduct.
