About me
Hello, my name is Natalie and I am a relational body-oriented therapist with over 20 years of experience in private practice. Currently, I am working online via Zoom. I also offer in-person sessions in Downderry, Cornwall.
My way of working is integrated, it includes all aspects of our humanness. It is an approach that is relational, body-oriented and trauma-informed.
What I offer is rooted in my passion to meet life with a compassionate heart and authenticity.
I work intuitively, with sensitivity and a willingness to embark on a journey together of discovery to support you in a healing journey.
I feel passionate that the therapeutic relationship is central and the most important aspect of transformational work.
I am also trained as a body-oriented therapist. This means I have huge respect for how our bodies hold a wealth of knowledge and when listened to can begin to melt old patterns of holding, which we may have carried within our bodies since childhood. When we live more fully in our bodies, we feel more grounded, awake, alive, and connected. I also have training in trauma, working creatively with stuck frozen aspects held within the body and attachment patterns. Often shame can be a component of these unresolved patterns.
The body is a wise guide, it can take us deeper into where we feel stuck in our lives. When we enter a relationship by noticing the sensations in our bodies and exploring the subtle messages, we might be surprised to notice the amount of holding and tension we carry.
The more we engage with our bodies, the patterns can organically release and open new pathways to living a life connected to this innate source of our true natural wholeness.
I have explored many modalities of therapy and bodywork.
I have in-depth extensive experience working with depression, anxiety, loss, relationship issues, sexuality, bereavement, childhood issues, abuse, chronic fatigue syndrome, low self-confidence, low-self esteem, chronic pain, addictions, anger management, panic attacks & phobias.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
