About me

With over 20 years’ experience, I am a BACP-accredited integrative counsellor and psychotherapist supporting adults and relationships. I offer online counselling and psychotherapy for clients in the UK and internationally.

Having lived and worked internationally for many years, I have extensive experience supporting clients from diverse cultural backgrounds, including expatriates, mixed-culture couples, and people navigating life between cultures.

My work supports people experiencing anxiety, trauma, relational difficulties, life transitions, and questions around identity and belonging. Alongside individual therapy, I work with couples, intimate partners, and mothers and adult daughters who wish to better understand their relationship patterns and communication.

My approach is relational, trauma-informed and neurodiversity-affirming. I aim to offer a calm, thoughtful therapeutic space where clients can speak openly, explore their experiences, and reflect on the dynamics that shape their relationships and emotional lives.

My practice, weRcurious, reflects my belief that curiosity is central to therapeutic work. Rather than trying to “fix” what feels wrong, therapy becomes a space to slow down, ask different questions, and discover new ways of understanding yourself and your relationships.

In addition to ongoing counselling and psychotherapy, I may draw on approaches such as the Rewind Technique for trauma and PTSD, hypnotherapy, and practices that support nervous system regulation where appropriate.

All sessions are conducted online, allowing clients to access therapy from the privacy and comfort of their own environment.

Training, qualifications & experience

My foundation is in person-centred counselling, and I have been working as a counsellor and psychotherapist for over 20 years. While the core principles of the person-centred approach remain central to my work, my practice has developed into an integrative way of working that draws from relational, attachment-informed and trauma-informed perspectives.

Alongside my counselling and psychotherapy training, I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and have also trained as a clinical supervisor. I have undertaken specialist training in hypnotherapy and trauma-focused approaches, including the Rewind Technique for working with traumatic memories and PTSD.

My continuing professional development reflects a particular interest in relationships, sexuality and women’s mental health. This has included training informed by the Gottman approach and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, work exploring intimacy and sexual relationships, reproductive mental health, and the impact of intergenerational trauma in women’s lives.

I have also undertaken training in neuro-affirming practice and working with neurodivergent clients, as well as creative therapeutic approaches and facilitator training in Parent Effectiveness Training.

Having lived and worked internationally for much of my career, my work is also informed by experience supporting people navigating cross-cultural relationships, expatriate life and the complexities of identity and belonging across different cultural contexts.

This breadth of training and experience allows me to work flexibly and thoughtfully with each client’s individual circumstances rather than relying on a single fixed therapeutic model.

Member organisations

Registered / Accredited

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

I aim to offer a therapeutic space that combines compassion with thoughtful exploration, supporting clients to reflect, make sense of their experiences, and move forward with greater clarity.

Working online allows clients to access therapy wherever they are based, which can be particularly helpful for people living internationally or navigating life across cultures.

The best way to enquire about appointments is by email. My phone is usually on silent while I am working with clients and there is no voicemail facility, so email ensures your enquiry reaches me and I can respond as soon as possible.
