About me

I am an integrative counsellor, which means I have been trained in both Person centred and Psychodynamic approaches. This allows me to tailor therapy to each individual. I offer a safe, non-judgmental space for you to talk freely, as well as the opportunity to explore how past experiences may be shaping your present.

I believe that everyone has the potential to grow and become the best version of themselves, no matter what they have been through. I see counselling as a collaborative journey where I can walk alongside you, offering support, curiosity and respect as you find your own way forward. I like to incorporate creative methods to help uncover hidden parts of yourself that may be difficult to express in words. I also find working somatically can be really useful. For example, incorporating parasympathetic exercises.

I bring my real self into the therapeutic relationship and I’m not afraid to be human or even look a little silly sometimes. I’ve found that clients often appreciate this, as it helps them feel at ease and able to share openly, without fear of judgment. I have been told by clients they feel they could say anything to me, knowing I won't be offended or shocked.

I have experience working with people from many different walks of life, and I value each client as a unique and fascinating reflection of the human condition. It is a privilege when someone chooses to share their story with me, and I approach this work with compassion, openness and integrity.

I offer in-person counselling sessions, usually on a weekly basis, in a safe and confidential setting. Sessions are 50 minutes and cost £50. I can also offer online sessions via Google Meet. Before starting, I provide a free 15-minute consultation, so we can get to know each other, discuss your needs, and see if counselling with me feels like the right fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

I trained as an integrative counsellor (FdA) under the University of Gloucestershire. During my training, I completed my placement at a charity offering affordable counselling so that support is accessible to everyone, regardless of financial situation. I found this work really meaningful, and I continue to work for them part time alongside my private practice.

I have also had some experience in addiction counselling, which has given me valuable insight into the challenges of dependency and recovery. I am passionate about ongoing learning and regularly attend training days to deepen my practice. Recent training includes:

  • Working with shame
  • Working creatively in counselling
  • Working with complex needs
  • Working with neurodiversity

I am an Accredited Registrant with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS) and work in line with their ethical framework.
