About me

Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling anxious, emotionally worn out, or stuck in patterns they can’t seem to shift, even while appearing to cope well on the surface. They’re often thoughtful, capable adults navigating stress, burnout, perfectionism, or a constant sense of not feeling good enough.  Sometimes these difficulties have been around for years, and sometimes they’re connected to a recent life change, loss, challenge, or even a new diagnosis.

My approach is supportive, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based therapy. I aim to offer a space where you can talk honestly about what’s going on, even the things you don’t feel you can say anywhere else. Together we’ll explore how your past experiences may still be shaping your present and work to shift patterns that no longer serve you.

Over time, many clients say they begin to feel more emotionally clear, less reactive, and more connected to themselves and the people around them. Therapy with me is not just about insight. It is about making meaningful, lasting changes, both in and outside the therapy room.

I use a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor therapy to what feels most useful to you. Together, we’ll focus on helping you understand yourself more deeply, manage difficult emotions, reduce self-criticism, and shift patterns that are no longer working for you. The tools we use will depend on your needs and preferences, and everything we do will be guided by what supports real and lasting change in your life.

As an attachment specialist, I help clients explore how early experiences may still be shaping how they relate to themselves, others, and the world around them. This might show up in relationships, but also in self-confidence, anxiety, or a chronic sense of not feeling quite right. I also support parents whose children are facing attachment-related challenges.

Whether this is your first time in therapy or you’re returning after working with a therapist who didn’t feel like the right fit, I offer a steady, reflective space where we can work together on what truly matters to you.

You are welcome to get in touch to arrange a free 15-minute consultation to see whether working together feels right. If you are ready to begin, you can also book a full therapy session. I offer in-person appointments in South West London (Wimbledon and Clapham), Central London (Kensington), and online.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a dual-masters' level and BACP-registered psychotherapist and attachment specialist with over 11 years of experience, specialising in attachment-based and integrative therapy for adults. I support clients with emotional distress, trauma, anxiety, and relational difficulties and challenging attachment patterns, using evidence-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness in addition to influences from Gestalt and humanistic approaches to therapy.

In addition to therapy, I also offer attachment-based assessments for adults and provide clinical supervision to therapists working with children, adolescents, and adults affected by attachment trauma.

My clinical experience is rich and broad. It includes working in private practice in London and the United States, NHS Talking Therapies, university counselling services, and therapeutic consultations for adoptive families. I have worked with adults of all ages and backgrounds.

Academically, I hold a bachelor’s degree from the University of Denver, an MA in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology (Boulder, CO) and an MSc in Attachment Studies from the University of Roehampton (London).

Alongside my clinical work, I teach and train future therapists as a Senior Lecturer in Psychology and lead the MSc in Attachment Theory, Research, and Practice at the University of Roehampton. I also serve as an external examiner in Clinical Psychology and am a published attachment researcher.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What it’s like to work with me

My style is collaborative, grounded, and engaged. I aim to create a space where you feel supported enough to speak openly but also gently encouraged to explore the patterns that are keeping you stuck. I will not just sit and nod. I offer honest reflections and teach practical tools you can use in your real life, not just in the therapy room.

I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches and tailor our work to what feels most helpful for you. These may include:

Internal Family Systems (IFS) to explore emotional parts and inner conflicts

Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and resilience

Mindfulness-based techniques to build calm, awareness, and presence

These are just some of the tools I use. We will work together to find what best supports you and your goals.

I also offer dedicated support for parents of children with attachment difficulties, helping you strengthen the bond with your child while also supporting your own emotional wellbeing. Together we can focus on both supporting your compassionate parenting strategies and your ability to stay regulated through the challenges that arise.

Sessions are usually weekly or fortnightly, depending on what feels right for you. Some people come for a shorter time to work through a specific issue, whilst others choose to stay longer. Therapy with me is not about keeping you in it forever. It is about helping you move forward at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful for you.
