About me
Many of the people who come to see me have reached a point where life feels more difficult than it used to. They feel they are carrying too much on their own, struggling to cope with the pressures of everyday life, or finding themselves feeling anxious, exhausted. Whatever has brought you here, I will offer you a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore your experiences together.
I believe that meaningful change can begin within a trusting therapeutic relationship. I look forward to getting to know you and seeing the world through your eyes. Together, we will explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels right for you, helping you reconnect with your own strengths.
Taking the first step towards therapy can feel daunting. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out. If you feel that I may be the right therapist for you, I look forward to hearing from you and working together with you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a First Class Honours degree in Person-Centred Pluralistic Counselling, together with a Professional Certificate in Facilitating Online and Phone Therapy from the Metanoia Institute, one of the UK's leading centres for counselling and psychotherapy training.
My work is grounded in the Person-Centred approach, trusting that people have an innate capacity for growth when they feel genuinely heard, accepted and understood. Alongside this, I work pluralistically, recognising that every person's experience is unique and that therapy should be shaped collaboratively around what feels most helpful for you.
I have experience supporting adults facing anxiety, stress, low mood, relationship difficulties, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, identity and questions of meaning. I have worked with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, offering both in-person and online counselling in a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space.
I am committed to ongoing professional development and practise in accordance with the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Above all, I hope to offer a therapeutic relationship where you can feel understood, explore your experience with curiosity and compassion, and discover a way forward that feels authentic to you.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
Alongside my work as a counsellor, I am a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA), I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering and a PhD in Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Before training as a therapist, I spent many years supporting students and professionals through both academic and personal challenges, experiences that give me a deep appreciation of the pressures that can accompany responsibility, high expectations, and periods of change.
Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious or uncertain, whether through work, study, relationships or periods of change. At such times, it can be difficult to make sense of our experience or find space to listen to ourselves. I aim to offer a calm, accepting and compassionate relationship where you can explore whatever feels important, discover new perspectives, and move towards a way of living that feels more authentic to you.
