Moira Jobson Reg. MBACP
In these current difficult circumstances with the Coronavirus I am offering online counselling sessions using the confidential platform of Zoom. Call me for a free chat so we can talk through what you are looking for from counselling and you can gain an understanding of how I can help you work through whatever challenge or issue you are facing. I am now also offering socially distanced face to face appointments in my dedicated counselling space.
I am a qualified counsellor and registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I specialise in Addiction in its many forms and have a deep insight into the issues that often lay beneath addictive thoughts and behaviours.
I am also experienced at helping clients with:
- Anxiety and Fear
- Family Issues
- Low self confidence
- Low Self-Esteem
- Stress and overwhelm
How can I help you?
I am able to offer you a confidential space to explore issues or feelings maybe in a way you don't feel you can do with anyone else in your life for fear of in some way affecting them. Or maybe you just can't understand how you are feeling and need some time to let your thoughts and feelings find some clarity. In this overwhelming time with so much in life out of your control counselling offers you the opportunity to create a safe space, separate from the rest of life, just for you where you can explore and learn to voice your innermost emotions and find a way to move through them.
I am an integrative counsellor and aim to offer you a relationship based on trust, respect, feeling heard and being valued. This creates a safe space where you can explore your feelings at your pace. I believe that each person is unique and as such has a unique counselling process to experience. I passionately believe that you can become empowered by the self awareness that comes from counselling in ways you may not even imagine. Out of every period of difficulty comes growth.
The therapeutic relationship is key to the effectiveness of counselling and it is therefore crucially important to find the counsellor who is right for you - someone who you feel "gets" you. I believe that establishing an effective therapeutic relationship with me combined with the therapeutic approach I adopt can help you find within yourself the power to change in ways that can lead to a new level of contentment and fulfillment in life. My clients feel held, empowered and fundamentally changed by therapy.
I have a dedicated counselling space separate from my house which guarantees complete confidentiality during our sessions.
I am bound by the Ethical Framework of the BACP and am fully supervised and insured.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have considerable experience working with many clients for the counselling charity Number 22 based in Maidenhead. These clients have come from many different age groups, cultures and backgrounds. During this time I have worked with many different issues including anxiety, depression, addiction, stress, family and relationship issues, issues of low self-esteem, bullying, anger management and co-dependency.
Whatever issues you are facing, I believe that by establishing a good connection with me and thereby allowing a good therapeutic relationship to evolve - using the Person-Centred Approach - will allow you to find the resolution you need at this point in time and leave you feeling better equipped to live your life the way you choose.
All you need to do to get started is call or email me and we can discuss what you are looking for from counselling and set up an initial session. If that goes well we simply set up a second session and decide how often you want to see me.
