About me
Professional On line Counselling/Therapy for Individuals and couples.
Phone counselling is also available.
At times maybe you feel ignored or misunderstood. Perhaps anxiety or depression is feeling debilitating and exhausting. Work and relationships may be suffering. Low self esteem, numbness or heightened sensitivity can make you feel 'stuck' with no where to go. Unresolved trauma can leave you feeling like you are haunted and in pain.
At times, maybe, you feel helpless.
Sometimes just 'holding it all together' can feel like its too much.
You want to understand why, and wish to feel happy again.
Take the first step change. To break the binding chains, you need safety to explore all the thoughts and fears which have been churning inside. A place where you can find out how to heal.
We will work together to seek insight into how your struggles began; to enable change and then to begin a new era.
Send me an email or phone me, I will get back to you as soon as possible.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a registered Psychodynamic counsellor with the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists. Additionally, I have post grad certifications for Counselling groups, couples and individuals. I have had an extensive range of CPD training to further enhance my clinical practice.
I have worked for many years in mental health services, both within the NHS and the private sector. Additionally, I have worked as a mentor for students currently studying to become counsellors. I have also worked as a Seminar Lead in Introductory Training; and for the training of foundation students acquiring the skills necessary for counselling. I now work online in Private Practice.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
