About me
It can be difficult to talk about your experiences and feelings when you cannot find ways to express yourself. There are many events that can cause distress which can be expressed in different ways such as: Anxiety; Depression ; Struggling in concentration; Change in behaviour; Irritation; Relationship issues; Low self esteem; Anger; Sadness.
You may find that in counselling we work with your thoughts and feelings to find a deeper meaning for your struggles and how you cope. Looking at past experiences from childhood and the relationships we have had with other people around us, including ourselves. It can be an uncomfortable experience to learn new things about yourself but I am here to support you.
With a strong commitment to the LGBTQ+ community, I have gained diverse experiences working with individuals of all ages in a compassionate and constructive manner. One of my passions is facilitating effective communication skills, which I believe are essential in the therapeutic process. As a therapist, I have supported both long-term and short-term clients who have faced challenges impacting their overall well-being. My aim is to provide effective support by utilizing communication skills to build therapeutic relationships and establish healthy alliances.
In addition to my experience with clients from various ethnic backgrounds, I am also fluent in Urdu, enabling me to interact with clients from diverse age groups, backgrounds, and concerns. This linguistic capability allows me to cater to the unique needs of individuals seeking therapy.
I am deeply passionate about my role as a therapist and I invite both children and adults to embark on a journey of self-discovery and enhanced understanding. My therapeutic approach is rooted in an Integrative model, with person-centered theory at its core. I often draw on attachment theory and gestalt principles to inform my practice. When working with children, I incorporate play, art, and fun into the sessions to promote their communication skills and create a comfortable space for them to explore their thoughts and feelings.
I am dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment where LGBTQ+ individuals can freely express themselves and explore their unique experiences. Your self-worth and personal growth are of utmost importance to me.
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or would like to schedule a session. I am excited about the opportunity to support you on your journey towards self-discovery and empowerment.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
I am currently a therapist with the service ‘Tuudae.’. They are my clinical administrative service and handle my enquiries from clients whilst I am out of office or with clients. They are happy to answer any questions you might have and have been informed by myself on the kind of therapy I offer and the clients I can support and will gather initial assessment information from you to hand over to me. Due to my very busy schedule they will book you in for your first session with me, then we can explore how we may wish to work together I can begin my own clinical formulation right from the beginning of our work. But don’t worry, if you don’t think I’m the right therapist for you I will always look to refer you to someone who may be more appropriate! Tuudae. is based remotely, in Derbyshire, so please look out for a call from them. 01332327700. I look forward to meeting you!
