About me

*Please note I currently only have availability for online sessions*

Is this what life was supposed to feel like?

Perhaps you’ve hit some milestones - but now you're at a crossroads. Maybe you're questioning your career, struggling with your old friendships, processing a break-up, or just feeling like something is missing? You can’t shake the nagging feeling that life wasn’t supposed to feel this uncertain, this uninspiring, or this overwhelming.

Maybe the job you worked so hard for no longer excites you. Maybe your relationships are shifting, and you’re questioning what’s next. Under the anxiety, the disconnect, and feelings of stuckness it is easy to lose sight of you. But it doesn’t have to stay this way.

I’m Miriam, a Therapist, and I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, break-free from burnout, grow in confidence, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, identify what truly matters to you, and take steps toward the contentment, balance and fullness you are craving.

Through a supportive, reflective therapeutic process, I’ll help you find the answers you’ve been searching for.

Ready to take the first step?
I offer a free 15-minute consultation, so we can chat about what’s on your mind and how I can support you. Let’s explore what’s next, together.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over 5 years of experience as an independent therapist, and 8 years working in Mental Health, I’ve helped many individuals navigate challenges and create lives that feel authentic and fulfilling.

I hold a Counselling BA Hons. Degree and further Postgraduate qualifications in Play and Creative Arts Therapy, as well as Psychotherapeutic Counselling L5 Dip. I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I adhere to high standards of ethical, professional, and ongoing development practices.

In short, I combine proven therapeutic techniques with a creative, approachable style to help you gain clarity, overcome challenges, and move forward with confidence.

For the curious amongst you, some more about me: I love to travel, and be in nature! If I'm not baking cakes, then I'm probably in a cafe eating them (with a close friend having a deep and meaningful chat). An existential crisis led me to re-evaluate my life, and has made me very passionate about supporting clients going through similar transitions.

Therapy with me may look different. I may challenge you, I will probably laugh with you, I may ask you for TV recommendations, I'll ask to see photos of your pets, I will listen to your dreams, and I'll always support you through the tears.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
