About me

*At the moment I am only working with clients online*

How are you? A simple question, that can feel so overwhelming.

By reading my profile you are already on your way to finding a therapist to help diminish overwhelm, seek clarity and find peace in your life.

Finding the right counsellor is a very important first step, as it is often the connection between therapist and client that brings about the most meaningful changes.

I offer a free 20 minute remote consultation for you to decide whether I am the therapist you want by your side.

You might be feeling hopeless, anxious, lost, numb or overwhelmed. These are just a few of the feelings you can bring to a counselling session with me.

____________________________________________________________

I work using an Integrative Person-Centred approach to counselling and psychotherapy.

If you are seeking a therapy space where I will listen to you without judgement and respond with compassion and empathy, then I can offer you that.

I am also trained in creative therapy, therefore should you be willing, alongside talking I may introduce symbols, metaphor or creative activity into the sessions.

I only work 1:1 with clients, however, I cover all ages with competence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Areas of counselling I deal with

Other areas of counselling I deal with

I have a particular interest in working creatively. Perhaps the idea of talking intimidates you? We can work with art materials, symbols, or metaphors to put your mind at ease. Using art in therapy can be very powerful, as it provides room to express without having to find words.

I also have a great interest in working with women (those who identify as female). Women have sat together with other women for years, to exchange stories and be heard. I think there is something very powerful in this.
