Is this what life was supposed to feel like?

Perhaps you’ve hit the milestones - building your career, nurturing relationships, and keeping a busy social life. From the outside, everything seems fine. But inside, something feels... off. You can’t shake the nagging feeling that life wasn’t supposed to feel this uncertain, this uninspiring, or this overwhelming.

Maybe the job you worked so hard for no longer excites you. Maybe your relationships are shifting, and you’re questioning what’s next. Or perhaps you’re simply wondering if this is all there is: IS THIS IT? In today’s fast-paced, achievement-driven world, it’s easy to lose sight of you. Your dreams, your goals, your joy - buried under societal expectations and endless to-do lists. But here’s the truth: it doesn’t have to stay this way.

I’m Miriam, a Therapist and Coach, and I’m here to help you reconnect with yourself, break-free from burnout, grow in confidence, and create a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. In our work together, we’ll explore what’s holding you back, identify what truly matters to you, and take steps toward the contentment and balance you are craving.

Through a supportive and reflective process, I’ll guide you toward the answers you’ve been searching for. You might feel like you "have to achieve it all", oryou're "falling behind", perhaps you're in a constant cycle of comparison, or feeling that you "should be happy" with what you have. It is a hard place to be, I get it, because I've been there too, but you don’t need to have it all figured out! Believe it or not, that’s the exciting part - your future starts here.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over 5 years of experience as an independent therapist, and 8 years working in Mental Health, I’ve helped countless individuals navigate challenges and create lives that feel authentic and fulfilling.

I hold a BA Hons in Counselling Skills and further qualifications in Play and Creative Arts Therapy, as well as Psychotherapeutic Counselling. I’m a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), which means I adhere to high standards of ethical, professional, and ongoing development practices.

In short, I combine proven therapeutic techniques with a creative, approachable style to help you gain clarity, overcome challenges, and move forward with confidence.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
