About me

Sometimes life can feel overwhelming. We may find ourselves struggling with painful experiences, difficult relationships, uncertainty about the future, or feeling stuck in patterns we don't fully understand. Past experiences can continue to affect us, making it hard to move forward or make sense of who we are today.

Therapy can provide a safe, supportive space to explore these experiences, understand yourself more deeply, and make sense of your story. Throughout my career, I have worked with a diverse range of clients across different settings, supporting people with trauma, addiction, identity struggles, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties.

My approach is warm, grounded, and collaborative. Alongside clinical training in psychotherapy, I bring over a decade of experience working in frontline services, safeguarding, creative education, and community-based support. I work with people who want to explore their inner world, process difficult experiences, and reconnect with themselves in meaningful ways.

I have a particular interest in trauma-informed therapy, drug and alcohol harm reduction, neurodivergence (ADHD, autism, and dyslexia), anxiety, depression, low self-worth, burnout, non-monogamy, and relationship diversity.

Sessions are available online and in person in Croydon. I also offer a free 20-minute consultation, providing an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy and whether we feel like a good fit to work together.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold an MA in Counselling and Psychotherapy from a BACP-accredited training programme, alongside Level 1-3 qualifications in counselling skills and counselling studies.

My experience includes working as a School Counsellor, a Therapist within a young person's open access service, a therapist within NHS Talking Therapies, and in private practice, where I continue to work with a diverse range of clients.

Before qualifying, I worked for over five years in youth homelessness services and as a Drugs Worker within Youth Justice. I have also completed additional training in Motivational Interviewing, CBT, Trauma-Informed Care, Trauma and Adolescence, Harm Reduction for Substance Use, and Hidden Harm.

Alongside my therapeutic work, I have experience in education, the arts, and hospitality, which continue to inform my relational, creative, and grounded approach to therapy.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

Alongside working as a therapist, I also have 5 years experience working in youth services for homelessness, youth offending and drug and alcohol services. I have also previously worked within education, the arts (theatre and film) and the hospitality sector, and have a good understanding of working in these environments, and the challenges this can bring.

Furthermore, I am experienced in working with recreational drug users, and how to make use safer and minimise harm.
