About me
Hi, I'm so glad you're here.
I'm a qualified psychotherapist based in Manchester, and I've spent over 5 years supporting adult, children/young people and couples through some of their most difficult and overwhelming moments.
My work is rooted in creating a space where you can feel truly safe, heard, and accepted-just as you are. I believe that you are not "too much" or "not enough," and you don't need to have everything figured out to begin.
I specialise in working with inner child healing and childhood trauma, helping you gently explore the parts of you that may still be holding onto past experiences. Together, we can begin to understand your patterns, make sense of your feelings, and move towards a place that feels more peaceful, less overwhelming and where you are able to feel kinder to yourself.
I've also trained as a couples and relationship counsellor, supporting people in navigating connection, communication, and the challenges that can come with relationships.
Alongside my work, I'm also a mum, which has deepened my understanding of relationships, emotional needs, and the importance of feeling safe and supported.
If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply need someone to talk to, you're not alone-and you don't have to go through it on your own.
Training, qualifications & experience
My training began at university, where I graduated with a BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Professional Practice). Shortly after qualifying, I started working for a charity in Tameside, supporting adults with a range of mental health needs. I quickly realised how much I loved working as a psychotherapist.
After a couple of years, I moved to Oldham, where I worked with children and young people. In this role, I supported them and their families in navigating challenges such as mental health difficulties, neurodivergence, LGBTQ+ related concerns, school avoidance, and wider family issues. This experience allowed me to develop a compassionate and family-focused approach.
Following three years in this position, I went on maternity leave. During this time, I undertook further training in working with couples and relationships, which sparked a new passion within my practice. My combined experience of working with adults, as well as children and young people, has given me a deeper understanding of the dynamics that individuals and couples bring into sessions, and supports me in helping them find constructive ways forward together.
Alongside my professional roles, I have continued to engage in ongoing training to strengthen my practice. This includes areas such as neglect, domestic abuse (and its impact on babies and children), exploitation, child protection referrals, developmental trauma, suicide awareness (including for neurodivergent individuals), mental health first aid, risk and safety planning, safeguarding (including Levels 1 and 2) safeguarding against radicalisation, and data security awareness.
