About me

Hi, I’m Melanie. I am an Accredited CBT Therapist, Certified Schema Therapist, and EMDR Practitioner.

I support people with a range of psychological and wellbeing struggles including anxiety, depression, trauma, and low self-confidence. My path into therapy began by recognising how early life experiences shaped the way I coped as an adult. I became deeply curious about how these patterns continue to influence relationships, emotions, work and my general wellbeing - and this understanding is at the heart of my practice today.

I provide a safe, compassionate, and non-judgemental space where you can slow down, make sense of what you’re carrying, and explore patterns that may have once protected you but now feel limiting. My approach is collaborative and steady, allowing you to work at a pace that feels right.

I draw on a blend of CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT, Schema Therapy, and EMDR to help clients understand both present difficulties and past experiences that shaped them. Together, we explore beliefs, emotions, and coping strategies and work toward building healthier, more adaptive patterns.

In our first session, we focus on what brought you to therapy, your goals, and what feels most important to you. From there, we create a plan that is meaningful and manageable—whether you’re looking for short-term, goal-focused work or longer-term exploration.

If you’re ready to feel supported, understood, and begin moving toward greater confidence, emotional balance, and wellbeing, I am here to help.
