About me

I am an experienced and compassionate psychotherapeutic counsellor who specialises in both long-term transformational therapy and focused short-term work. My approach combines evidence-based methods such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and psychodynamic principles with a deeply relational, person-centred style. Clients often describe my space as calm, grounding, and supportive a place where they feel able to explore their inner world and create meaningful, lasting change.

I work with clients across all ages, from young people and adolescents to adults and older individuals. My experience covers a wide range of emotional and psychological challenges, including trauma, abuse, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, self-esteem difficulties, and identity concerns. I offer affirming, informed support for those navigating gender dysphoria and work inclusively with LGBTQ+ communities.

I am also highly skilled in working with clients who have formal diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). I bring a sensitive, knowledgeable approach to neurodiversity and complex mental health presentations, and my safeguarding practice is robust and up to date.

I tailor every therapeutic journey to the individual in front of me, whether that involves structured, goal-oriented interventions or deeper, exploratory work. My aim is always the same: to help clients gain clarity, build resilience, heal from past experiences, and move towards a more empowered, balanced, and fulfilling life.

Work experience:

With over 15 years of experience as a therapist, I bring a rich, diverse, and deeply human approach to supporting individuals across all stages of life. My career has taken me through a wide range of therapeutic environments, each one strengthening my ability to meet clients exactly where they are and help them move toward meaningful change.

I began my work in primary school settings, where I supported children as a school counsellor and later progressed into a project manager role, supervising trainee counsellors and overseeing the delivery of therapeutic services. This early foundation taught me how to work sensitively and effectively with young people, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Alongside this, I have worked in youth club environments where I integrated music and creativity into emotional support programmes helping young people use artistic expression as a pathway to confidence, emotional regulation, and mental wellbeing.

In more recent years, I expanded my practice globally through my work with BetterHelp, where I accumulated over 3,000 clinical hours and supported around 300 clients worldwide. This experience deepened my ability to work across cultures, identities, and a wide spectrum of psychological presentations.

I now work within an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), supporting workers and their children (including minors) with issues ranging from stress, burnout, and workplace pressures to family dynamics and emotional wellbeing. This work allows me to combine therapeutic skill with practical, early-intervention support.

Alongside these roles, I continue to run my own private practice, offering a safe, relational, and tailored space for clients seeking both short-term solutions and deeper therapeutic exploration.

Across every setting, my focus has remained the same: to provide compassionate, informed, and empowering therapeutic support that helps people understand themselves more fully and move towards a healthier, more balanced life.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
