About me
For a long time, we’ve been told that therapy is only for when you have major issues. Within communities of color and for young people, that stigma can run deep. As a younger therapist, I am passionate about rewriting that narrative. Therapy isn’t a last resort; it’s a warm, collaborative space for personal growth, self-development, and reclaiming your power.
So many of us spend our lives reacting to other people’s preferences, cultural expectations, and demands, completely losing our own voice. My goal is to help you understand yourself so deeply that you finally become the priority of your own life.
What I love about person-centered counselling is how beautifully interconnected our lives are. You might enter therapy to talk about one specific thing, such as a recent grief or loss, which is my specialism, but as we explore, we open up completely new avenues. I thrive on helping you connect the dots between your past, your present, and your future. Together, we’ll use deep reflection to spark those "aha!" moments, untangling old patterns so you can experience a true shift in your daily mentality.
As a registered MBACP member, I offer a judgment-free, relatable space tailored entirely to your pace. Whether we meet online or in person, weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, this is your sanctuary to stop living for others and start investing in yourself.
Whenever you're ready to make that shift, I’m here to walk alongside you.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BACP-approved Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB), providing me with a robust clinical foundation. While my core practice is person-centered, anchored in the belief that you possess the innate power to shape your own life, I seamlessly integrate elements of CBT and psychodynamic approaches. This allows us to look at how your past influences your present, adapting every session to what best serves your growth.
Over the years, I have had the privilege of working with diverse individuals through impactful charities and community organizations, including Mind, Barnet Bereavement Service, and SEWA, supporting the South Asian and Indian community. These experiences have deeply honed my specialism in grief, loss, and bereavement, while giving me a profound understanding of how cultural nuances shape our mental health.
A significant part of my practice is dedicated to walking alongside young adults and people of color as they navigate the unique pressures of identity, systemic expectations, relationships, and career. Having worked closely within the South Asian community, I am deeply committed to creating a space where your lived experience and cultural identity are not just understood, but explicitly valued.
My background has taught me that bringing just one piece of your story into the therapy room can unlock unexpected avenues of self-discovery. I offer you an authentic, relatable, and compassionate environment where you can safely untangle your patterns and step into your own identity.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
