About me
Often, the struggles that bring people to therapy, such as anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, anger, guilt, addiction, questions around identity, and the impact of childhood experiences, sit alongside deeper questions around self: who am I? What do I actually want? Why do I feel disconnected?
Central to my work is an interest in identity and authenticity - how we adapt in order to survive, belong, or care for others, and how parts of us can become hidden or silenced over time.
I believe meaningful change happens when you feel safe, seen and accepted. From that place, we can begin to understand what lies beneath the surface and gently reconnect with the parts of you that may have been pushed aside.
How I Work
My approach is person-centred and relational. I don’t impose a fixed treatment plan; instead, I work alongside you from your unique starting point. I’m curious about your experience of life.
Together, we might explore the beliefs you hold about yourself, patterns in relationships, attachment dynamics and early experiences, the ways you’ve learned to cope, and the patterns that may no longer serve you.
Alongside careful exploration, I offer gentle psychological insight where helpful. We may also work more experientially - paying attention to what you’re feeling in the moment, noticing bodily sensations, or using simple exercises to connect with parts of yourself that feel stuck or conflicted.
Over time, therapy can help you:
Feel more grounded and self-assured
Recognise and shift unhelpful patterns
Reconnect with your needs, feelings and values
Develop a kinder, more accepting relationship with yourself
As a mother of three, I have a lived understanding of how identity shifts across life stages and how easily we can set parts of ourselves aside while caring for others. This perspective quietly informs my work, particularly with those navigating transitions, parenthood, or changing roles.
Alongside my private practice, I work within the NHS and a Brighton-based charitable organisation.
I offer sessions in person from my home on the border of Brighton and Hove, online, and in some cases outdoors through Nature-Based counselling.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
