About me

Hello, I’m Marta.

Choosing a therapist is a meaningful step, and finding someone who feels like the right fit matters. If you’re here, something in your life may be asking for attention, and you don’t have to navigate that alone.

You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’re carrying the impact of past experiences, or noticing patterns in your relationships that are difficult to shift. Sometimes, there isn’t a clear reason – just a sense that something isn’t quite right.

As an Integrative Relational Psychotherapist, I offer a space where you can slow down, be met as you are, and begin to explore your inner world without having things figured out. Our work is collaborative and shaped around you. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, but at the heart of my work is the belief that healing happens through genuine human connection.

Together, we can explore your experiences, deepen your self-understanding, and support you in creating lasting, meaningful change.

I offer a free 20-minute consultation so you can get a sense of how it might feel for us to work together. You’re very welcome to reach out when you feel ready.

Training, qualifications & experience

I hold a Master’s degree in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy and have worked with clients in the charity sector, offering low-cost counselling services. Through this work, I’ve supported people facing a wide range of emotional and personal challenges, including life transitions, exploring gender identity, relationship difficulties, anxiety, and depression. I also have experience working with relational trauma and with those who are estranged from their families.

I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP) and work in accordance with their Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Further information

Alongside my clinical work, I bring nearly 20 years of experience in the jewellery industry, which has given me a strong understanding of the pressures of professional life, workplace dynamics, and the impact these can have on wellbeing, identity, and relationships.

Originally from Poland, I have lived as an immigrant for over twenty years and understand the complexity of living between cultures, especially the challenges of adapting, finding belonging, and maintaining a sense of self while building a life in a new place.

As a qualified yoga teacher, I bring an additional understanding of the relationship between body and mind, which enriches my therapeutic work and supports my holistic understanding of emotional wellbeing.
