About me
I am a qualified integrative therapist and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I work with both adults and children and young people (CYP), tailoring my approach to the needs of each individual.
As an integrative therapist, I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including person‑centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). This flexible approach allows me to support clients in a way that feels most meaningful and effective for them.
I offer a confidential, empathic and supportive space where individuals can explore their thoughts and feelings at their own pace. My aim is to help clients feel heard, understood and empowered as they navigate challenges or periods of change.
When working with CYP, I incorporate creative and play‑based methods alongside talking therapy. This may include games, art activities and worksheets to help children and young people express emotions that may be difficult to put into words.
My experience includes working with a wide range of presenting issues such as mild to moderate anxiety, low mood, depression, exam and work‑related stress, low self‑confidence, relationship concerns, family issues, bereavement, identity issues, ADHD and neurodiversity.
Before qualifying as a therapist, I worked as a primary school teacher and in other professional settings. These experiences enrich my therapeutic work and deepen my understanding of the challenges faced by both adults and young people.
Sessions can be short‑term or open‑ended and are available face‑to‑face, by telephone or online.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

An initial consultation will give you an opportunity to ask questions and a taste of how therapy works. If it is what you are looking for and you wish to proceed, we will arrange a mutually agreeable time to meet each week. I offer a free 15 minute call to any one looking to start counselling.
I also offer reduced rates to trainee counsellors.
