About me
I am an integrative psychotherapist offering a warm, supportive space to explore what brings you to therapy, help you feel understood, make sense of your challenges, and help you move toward your goals at a pace that feels right for you. I work with a careful blend of well-established psychotherapy approaches, rather than relying on a single method and expecting it to suit everybody, all of the time. I start by building a solid, professional relationship with you, where you can feel that you are taken seriously and treated with respect. Without this, I can’t expect you to trust me and feel comfortable enough to discuss and work on what brings you to therapy!
I am originally from Quebec, Canada, and can offer therapy in both English and French.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology & Counselling from The Open University and have qualified as an integrative psychotherapist at the University of Lancashire, where I am now completing my Master's. I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the British Psychological Society (BPS).
My professional journey includes working with adults who have experienced trauma, addiction, grief, terminal illness, various forms of abuse, and have diverse mental health needs.
Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information
My personal life experience grants me insight into life as an expat/migrant; challenges faced by NHS/health workers and ethnic minorities; the difficulties of growing up in a multicultural household; navigating chronic conditions; and the dual roles of parent/carer.
I also have a special interest in spiritual abuse and religious trauma; moral injury and burnout in health workers; difficulties relating to cultural and/or sexual identity; and digital era issues affecting our mental wellbeing and relationships (online dating, romance fraud, online polarisation, and other forms of online hatred), but I will happily work with you regardless of what brings you to therapy!
