About me

Hi, I’m Madeleine - founder of Correlate Counselling.
A fully inclusive individual, couples, and relationship counselling service based in the heart of Worcester.

I believe that the relationships we have - with ourselves and with others - are at the core of our wellbeing. At Correlate Counselling, I provide a compassionate, safe space to explore and strengthen those connections, whether you're looking for personal growth or support navigating complex dynamics with a loved one.

Working holistically, I encourage self-awareness and reflection. My approach is integrative, non-judgemental, and grounded in empathy, connection, and empowerment. Whether you're seeking clarity, change, or deeper connection, we’ll work together to support lasting growth.

Who I Work With:
I work with individual clients and those in relationships of all kinds, including:

  • Couples in romantic, monogamous relationships
  • Open and polyamorous partnerships
  • Parent and adult child relationships
  • Siblings
  • Friends
  • Professional/workplace relationships
  • Step-parent/blended family dynamics
  • Separated partners and co-parents

What to Expect:
My focus is on helping you strengthen your relationship with yourself and others -through exploration, accountability, reflection, and real-life application. I understand how deeply our life experiences can shape us and how past or present difficulties may affect our ability to connect, feel safe, or find joy. Through counselling, we can explore these impacts and work toward meaningful change.

Whether you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply want to invest in your emotional wellbeing, I'm here to support you.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

  • I currently offer face to face and online sessions for individual clients. For couples/ other relationships, I offer only face to face sessions to maintain safety.
  • My approach incorporates elements from Person Centred, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and relational approaches. My primary aim is to develop a positive therapeutic relationship with clients where they feel heard, respected and safe. I include some elements of CBT to my work to offer tools for clients in the form of interventions that support a sense of wellbeing to help us explore more deeply. By developing a strong therapeutic alliance, this also offers a space where challenge is safe and offers clients the opportunity to really reflect on their personal circumstances or feelings. I work with my clients to empower them, and challenge is a healthy part of this process.
  • The premises is a multi use building right in Worcester City centre. The space is on the 1st floor, at the end of a corridor and is very private. There are bathroom facilities in the building, and water will be available in session. If you wish to bring hot drinks, you are more than welcome.
