About me
I work with individuals and couples who are facing difficulties, whether that be at work, in relationships or regarding purpose and meaning. Each person is unique, so we can work slowly to understand your individual needs.
As a therapist, I believe deeply in the positive outcomes of the therapeutic process. Research shows that the number one determining factor in successful therapy comes from the relationship between you and I, which is why I offer a free initial video consultation, so that we can meet each other and you can ask any questions you may have.
I see clients in person in Margate (Thanet), Sandwich (Dover) and Online. I also offer "walk & talk" sessions in local woodlands and beaches. I am able to work at depth regarding a range of issues including:
- Relationship and family problems
- Couples therapy
- Anxiety and depression
- Men's issues and masculinity
- Sex and sexuality – straight, lesbian, gay, bi, transgender
- Existential & Spiritual crisis
- Divorce & Separation
- Gender issues
- Low self-esteem
- Stress
- Coping with change
- Coming to terms with illness
- Psychedelic experiences and Integration
- Lack of direction or purpose
- Problems at work
- Addiction
- Loss, grief and bereavement
- Racism
- De-colonising the self
I will listen to you with an open heart and without judgement, so that you can explore what might be difficult to say. I work in a short-term and long-term way, depending on what you will find most helpful.
I am sensitive to issues around gender, sexuality, class, ability and race. Both spaces I work from are wheelchair accessible. I am an LGBTQIA+ friendly therapist. I am committed to being anti-racist and continue to grow my understanding around issues of power and privilege, within myself and my profession.
I offer a reduced rate to those on a low income and for people from BAME backgrounds

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
