About me

I am a BACP registered Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist working with both adults and children from age 9 upwards.

I am warm and approachable and strive to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space for you to explore anything that you wish to talk about.

My core modality is person-centred; however I am trained to integrate other psychological approaches into our work together. This may mean the incorporation of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as the use of Creative and Symbolic strategies. This is highly tailored to the individual needs of the client and/or presenting issues.

Children and Young People

Are you a parent or guardian of a child who is struggling with their mental health?

Adolescence is a particularly challenging part of growing up.

Academic pressures, bullying, friendships, relationships, and identity issues are just a few areas which can contribute to poor mental health in teens. I can offer help with the following difficulties:

  • Anxiety
  • Self-Harm
  • Self-esteem
  • Low Mood/Depression
  • Eating difficulties
  • Body Image
  • Gender and/or Sexuality
  • Anger
  • School Avoidance
  • Grief
  • Autism & ADHD

I also have extensive experience with neurodivergent conditions such as Autism and ADHD, and I am hugely passionate about supporting these individuals in a neuro-affirming way.

Working face to face in BS37, BS8 and BS3, as well as online.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
