About me
Somatic Trauma Specialist & Psychologist/Gentle Body-Centred Healing for Complex Trauma & PTSD/Bupa Registered/online
If complex trauma has left you feeling frozen in your body, disconnected from yourself, overwhelmed by survival responses, or struggling to find meaning amid the pain-you're not alone, and healing is possible.
As a somatic Integrative Psychotherapist and Psychologist certified complex trauma specialist, I specialise in helping survivors gently reclaim safety, agency, and wholeness through the body's innate wisdom.
Trauma lives in the nervous system along after the events have passed-showing up as chronic tension, dissociation, hypervigilence, or exhaustion. My approach honours this by working directly with the body (somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, titration, and pendulation)rather than forcing talk about painful memories too soon.
I draw on evidence-informed somatic practices, alongside Jungian depth psychology, existential philosophy, and creative expression. This integrative blend creates a safe, non-pathologising space where your body and soul can begin to dialogue -thawing freeze states, releasing held survival energy, and fostering post-traumatic growth.
Whether you're navigating the aftermath of childhood/developmental trauma, relational betrayal, chronic overwhelm, or 'feeling stuck' in dissociation, I offer a compassionate, titrated path forward. Sessions are collaborative and paced to your window of tolerance-focusing on building resources first, such as grouding, resourcing, co-regulation, then gently exploring sensations and symbolic layers as safety grows.
I work with people looking for depth-orientated, embodied healing and growth. After working with me, people report feeling lighter and more grounded. They gain deeper self-understanding, have the tools to manage overwhelming emotions, the ability to set healthy boundaries, and reconnect with a sense of trust and agency in their lives. Many also describe shifting from feeling 'stuck' or self-critical to feeling more confident, resilient, and kinder to themselves-even on tough days.
If you are ready to feel differently and move towards a life you want, I would be privileged to walk alongside you. Let's start where you are.
Therapy is available on-line via a secure platform, with flexible scheduling. I offer an initial free 15mns telephone consultation to explore how we may work together-no pressure, just a gentle conversation.
I am here to walk along you with quiet solidarity as you rediscover your body's quiet wisdom and your own resilient spirit. If this resonates, reach out-your healing journey matters.

The use of client creative expression might also inform our collaborative exploration of any subconscious elements that may bring about further awareness for clients.

school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Areas of counselling I deal with
Other areas of counselling I deal with
Originating from my background as a trauma informed and Somatic Psychologist, within substance abuse rehabilitation services, working with individuals who had often experienced different types of abuse during childhood, I have developed an awareness concerning the link between parent-child relationships during the early years of a child's life, and substance abuse as well as future emotional well-being. This has led me to gain a special interest in working therapeutically with survivors of abuse; particularly, childhood abuse and neglect. Consequently, this has often led my therapeutic work to explore parent-child relationships and the impact they have on an individual's psychological health.
My therapeutic work has also developed my knowledge about the link between childhood and adult abuse, including that of domestic abuse. Due to this, I have recently begun working therapeutically with women who have experienced domestic abuse and/or violence and the impact this has often had on their psychological health and parenting abilities.
My therapeutic awareness is supported by my academic work as a Developmental Psychologist specialising in Family and Child Psychology. I thus Integrate notions of Developmental Psychology, Neuroscience, Somatic practices, and Health Psychology
