About me
Hello, my name is Lowri. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
I have experience in many areas of concern, but my areas of speciality focus on anxiety and depression, relationship issues (including family, friend and partner difficulties), low confidence, identity and boundaries.
I strive to create an environment where you can bring your whole self to sessions, without feeling the need to hide or adjust any part of yourself. I am affirming and welcoming of LGBTQIA+ and GSRD identities and experiences.
Taking the first steps in counselling can sometimes feel like a daunting experience I offer a warm, empathic space, where you can bring your whole self to openly explore any challenges you might be facing.
For the past ten years, I have worked in various supporting roles, helping adults and young people with their emotional well-being. I hold a huge amount of experience working with a range of different challenges.
Approach
I am an Integrative Therapist, which means I have been trained in many different approaches (Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, Existentialism and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy). Drawing on several approaches allows us to use different tools for the many different areas of our lives.
Services
I currently offer online, in-person and walk & talk therapy sessions to individuals over the age of 18.
Taking the first steps
If you are considering working with me, the first step is to make an initial enquiry, where we can schedule a free initial call to explore whether I am the right counsellor for you. I am always open to answer any questions you may have about the process, or about me as a therapist.
If after the phone call, you feel comfortable working with me, we can book an initial session and go from there.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Lowri

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
