About me

Whether you’re seeking support for a specific concern or feeling a more general sense of unhappiness or overwhelm, I offer a space where you can explore what’s going on for you at your own pace. My aim is for you to feel safe, respected, and truly heard.

Needing help at times is part of being human, but it can be tempting to keep our innermost anxieties, thoughts and feelings to ourselves, hoping that life's challenges will pass on their own - or out of fear of being judged.

However, talking to someone who has the skill and experience to listen in a way that allows us to feel understood and heard - perhaps for the first time - can be life changing. I believe that we each have an innate capacity to heal and grow, but we don’t have to figure it all out alone.

I'm dedicated to fostering a warm, inclusive relationship based on respect, curiosity and acceptance and have experience in supporting clients through a wide range of challenges, including:

  • Understanding and resolving relationship issues
  • Identifying and managing anxiety and depression
  • Overcoming patterns of low self-esteem
  • Building healthier boundaries around people-pleasing
  • Supporting life transitions
  • Breaking free from perfectionism
  • Processing childhood and adult trauma

Equality, diversity and inclusivity are are the heart of my practice, welcoming individuals of all backgrounds, genders and sexualities. My priority is to create a safe, confidential space for clients to feel seen and supported.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • First Class Bachelor of Science in Humanistic Counselling (Middlesex University)
  • Diploma in Humanistic Counselling (Metanoia Institute)
  • Certificate in Online and Telephone Counselling (Metanoia Institute)
  • Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills - WPF Therapy
  • Registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP

Having experienced divorce and the challenges of creating a blended family myself, I understand first-hand how complex and emotionally demanding these transitions can be. This insight allows me to offer genuine empathy and a grounded, realistic approach to supporting clients navigating relationship challenges, co-parenting and rebuilding life after separation.

Before becoming a therapist, my career in the legal profession gave me a deep understanding of the pressures and expectations that often accompany corporate life. This experience helps me support clients who juggle high levels of responsibility, stress, or self-criticism, and who want to find a healthier sense of balance and fulfilment both in and outside of work.

Outside private practice, working as a Samaritan gave me the privilege of listening to people from all walks of life at moments of deep distress and vulnerability. This strengthened my ability to be fully present, to listen without judgment, and to hold space for whatever someone is going through. I bring that same compassion, patience, and respect for each person’s unique story into my counselling work.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
