About me

Making the decision to seek counselling can feel daunting, and finding the right therapist is an important first step. I believe that everyone deserves a safe, supportive space where they can talk openly, without fear of judgement. My aim is to provide that space, where you can feel heard, understood and accepted just as you are.

I am a qualified counsellor, having completed CPCAB Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Counselling, and I am a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work within the BACP Ethical Framework, ensuring that my practice is professional, confidential and centred on your wellbeing.

Alongside my private practice in Allhallows, I work as a sessional therapist with North Kent Mind, supporting adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and mental health difficulties. This experience has given me the privilege of working with people from many different backgrounds, each with their own unique story and challenges.

Life can sometimes leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, lost, or stuck. You may be struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, grief, relationship difficulties, stress, trauma, or major life changes. Whatever has brought you to counselling, you don’t have to face it alone.

My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative. I believe that you are the expert in your own life, and my role is not to tell you what to do, but to walk alongside you as you explore your thoughts, emotions and experiences. Together, we can work towards greater self-understanding, resilience and positive change at a pace that feels right for you.

Building a trusting therapeutic relationship is at the heart of my work. I understand that opening up takes courage, so I strive to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be yourself. Whether you’re coming to counselling for the first time or returning after previous therapy, you will be welcomed with empathy, respect and genuine care.

My private practice in Allhallows offers a calm and confidential space for one-to-one counselling. I welcome adults from all walks of life and tailor therapy to your individual needs because I recognise that no two people are the same.

If you’re considering counselling and would like to find out more, I’d be happy to answer any questions you may have. Taking the first step can be the hardest part, but you don’t have to take it on your own.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
