About me

If you've spent years feeling like too much, not enough, or both at once, you're in the right place.

I help people to feel better by understanding themselves, their loved ones, their lives and the world around them better. Whether that's anxiety that won't switch off, the exhaustion of masking, relationships that feel harder than they should, or simply the sense that you've never quite fit the mould you were handed. In therapy sessions with me I'll be curious about what has happened, not focused on correcting you.

Who I work with

I work with adults, adolescents and couples navigating anxiety, burnout, low mood, relationship difficulties, and that particular kind of tiredness that comes from spending a lifetime trying to appear "normal". Many of the people I see are neurodivergent, (autistic, ADHD, dyslexic) formally diagnosed or late-realised after a life time of wondering why the world has always felt like it was built for someone else. Others aren't neurodivergent at all, but share the same need: a space that doesn't ask them to perform.

My own neurodivergence shapes how I practise. That means no forced eye contact, no small talk you don't want to make, no slowing down to check I'm still with you (I will be) and no assumption that there's a "right" way to sit, speak, or process in a session (even in EMDR). You set the pace.

Specialties

  • Neurodivergence
  • Childhood trauma & difficulties
  • Feelings of being stuck or lost

How I work

I trained as an Integral Therapist a lifetime ago and have added other trainings along the way in my career including creative therapies, trauma informed approaches, specialist neurodivergent psychotherapy approaches and I also qualified to work safely online even before Covid happened. All of this means that I don't work from a single fixed model, I draw on a range of approaches and adapt them to you, rather than asking you to fit a method.

I'm also fully trained in EMDR (with an EMDR UK approved trainer), which can be especially helpful for trauma, stuck patterns, and experiences that talking alone hasn't shifted.

Alongside client work, I supervise other therapists, which I is something that I find keeps my own practice sharp, reflective, and up to date. I am also a Senior Accredited member of the NCPS.
