About me
Do you often feel overwhelmed by your thoughts, anxious, low, or unsure how to express what you're going through? You might be carrying an invisible weight, putting on a brave face while feeling disconnected, depressed, or lonely inside. Sleep may be elusive, or you may struggle to get out of bed. You might turn to food, alcohol, or habits that offer temporary relief but leave you feeling worse. If you're a person with neurodivergence, such as autism or ADHD, perhaps you've spent years trying to fit in, and now the energy to keep pretending is running out.
Relationships may feel confusing or painful, and you might be stuck in cycles of guilt, anger, or self-blame. Perhaps a recent event has shaken you, or you feel an unexplained heaviness. But what if you could stop fighting that internal battle and begin to feel truly seen and heard? Imagine slowing those racing thoughts, lifting the weight just enough to glimpse a new path that leads to hope, self-understanding, and a sense of being alive again.
Counselling offers a space where you don’t have to pretend or be “OK.” In a warm, non-judgmental environment, we can explore what’s beneath the surface uncovering the roots of your anxiety or depression and the protective patterns you've developed. Together, we’ll gently examine whether those coping mechanisms are still serving you, and work toward meaningful change, growth, and a more authentic way of living.
I am a fully qualified psychodynamic counsellor, holding a Level 4 Diploma in Psychodynamic Counselling. A registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, you can be confident that I adhere strictly to their standards and ethical guidelines.
Having previously worked for 20 years with people with neurodivergence in the field of education and learning, I’ve witnessed how neurodivergence, especially when hidden, impacts mental health. I have experience in adapting my approach to meet individual needs.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
