About me
Hello wonderful humans, thank you so much for taking the time to read my profile. I’m Lianne, a Counsellor working with person-centred therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to help individuals who are struggling to find happiness. I offer a safe space in which to explore, a non-judgemental approach and a keenness to empower you to achieve true happiness.
My therapeutic approach is characterised by its gentleness and warmth with a strong emphasis on the therapeutic relationship between the counsellor and client, it won’t always be heavy! I extend empathy, candour, humour and unwavering positive regard to everyone I work with, providing a safe environment for personal growth.
I work with a wide range of issues, I have a particular interest in exploring relationships, family dynamics and the process of healing childhood wounds. I also have lived experience and work a lot within the LGBTQIA+ community.
I have been on my own journey to happiness and self-empowerment and have been familiar with the challenges of anxiety and depression and late diagnosed ADHD, now, I consider myself happy and fulfilled and am dedicated to helping my clients to discover joy, heal emotional wounds and forge happy and successful lives.
I work both face-to-face and online and offer typed chats also.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory session for you to get both a feel for me, and the counselling experience.
£1 from every session I deliver is donated to mental health charities.
Diversity and Inclusion is very important to me, and I hope that I am a safe space for all.
I am fully insured, BACP registered and offer evening and weekend (as well as weekday) appointments.

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
