About me
The quality of the relationship between you and your therapist is the single biggest factor in whether therapy is likely to work or not. I always aim to create a warm, empathetic environment and a personalised approach which reflects your individuality. Once a safe place to talk is established, together we can explore what has brought you to therapy and find ways to help you move forward.
Please note that I am accepting new clients in my Edinburgh office and online, but have a waiting list for face-to-face sessions in Dundee.
I offer all new clients a free 30-minute online consultation. This gives you the chance to see how it feels to work with me and decide for yourself if we’re a good fit before we start.
I am a BACP-registered pluralistic counsellor with a Masters in Counselling and a PhD in Psychology. My therapeutic approach is pluralistic, which means I can draw from various styles to suit your individual needs and preferences. Depending on what is most helpful for you, I may draw from person-centred, Gestalt, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Jungian and other approaches. Above all, I aim to provide a safe, collaborative and non-judgemental space, and to be responsive to your needs and feedback.
I have been working one-to-one with people from diverse backgrounds for nearly a decade, and have a wealth of experience in listening, supporting and helping clients explore their goals. I have lived and worked in London, China and Georgia, and I welcome clients of all ages and backgrounds.
I work with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, questions of finding direction, meaning and values in life, life transitions, spirituality, relationship difficulties, addiction, neurodivergence, and many others besides.
If you’d like to explore how counselling could support you, please get in touch, and remember, we can start with a free 30-minute consultation.

Member organisations
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
