About me
As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I offer a warm, accepting, and confidential space for individuals seeking support with depression, anxiety and many other life challenges (please see below). I recognise the urgency of wanting to feel better, sooner rather than later, and I am committed to working with you on both your immediate concerns and your long-term personal growth. Whether you are navigating a specific difficulty, seeking clarity, or striving to improve your well-being, I am committed to supporting you in your journey. We can, if helpful, explore how past experiences may be shaping your present, this can help with understanding these connections and can foster self-awareness, helping you move forward with greater confidence and purpose.
At times life's challenges, however they may have arisen, can lead us to finding unhealthy coping strategies. This may provide temporary relief, but also could have undermined well-being. Breaking free of unhealthy patterns of behaviour is not easy, but we all have the capacity for change. With the right support, healthy alternatives can be found, leading to greater emotional balance and fulfilment.
My approach is built on self-acceptance and self-care as essential foundations for healing. Within the safety of the therapeutic relationship, I encourage self-reflection with kindness and compassion. This space allows you to explore your experiences, both past and present, without judgment, empowering you to take meaningful steps toward a more satisfying and authentic life.
In addition to working with clients experiencing depression, low self-esteem, overwhelm, stress and anxiety, grief, addiction, disordered eating, physical and sexual abuse, relationship issues and many other challenges, I have also worked with individuals living with both hidden and physical disabilities and understand the far-reaching impact of unmet needs, particularly in relation to education, self-esteem, and personal development and the challenges that present themselves socially, in educational establishments, and in the workplace.
Therapy with me is tailored to your pace and priorities. My focus is on equipping you with the tools to build resilience and create meaningful, lasting change, helping you move toward a future in which you feel more empowered, self-assured, and at peace with yourself.

The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society This Not For Profit association of counsellors and psychotherapists aim to support the counselling profession, members and training organisations. In 2013 the NCS register was accredited by the Professional Standards Authority under the Accredited Voluntary Register Scheme. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
