About me
I am a qualified counsellor, integrative psychotherapist with 25 years experience. I offer in person or video sessions
I have learned from experience, it's not easy to approach someone who you don't know and talk about your personal difficulties. But I also learned it can be a life changing experience. Which motivated me to want to help others. I qualified as a counsellor and integrative psychotherapist and now have 25 years experience. I offer one to one and video sessions.
I provide a comfortable, secure space where we can meet, and talk about anything you need to. Speaking about your thoughts and feelings out loud to some one who is independent and non-judgmental can often bring a sense of relief. Talking through your issues helps "get them off your chest," and can lead to you having a clearer idea of how you can go forward. It can feel good to know that you have someone to talk to, who has the training and experience to be able to help and not have to face overwhelming emotions of panic or difficult life events by yourself. You can come away from our sessions, feeling more self aware, confident to make decisions for yourself and able to have better relationships with the people around you.
What happens in the first session?
I will go through my short contract with you explaining confidentiality and other practicalities. I will gather information to understand your current difficulties and personal history, which may be contributing to your difficulties. We will talk about what your aim is for counselling or what you would like to be different in you life. It is ok to ask me any questions that you may have. By talking together, you will get an idea of how you feel in the room and if you feel comfortable starting therapy with me. There is no pressure to commit to further sessions if you don’t feel you want to. I understand that it is hard to know if you can work with someone, until you meet them. Please contact me if you have any questions that I have not covered and I will do my best to answer them.
My practice is in Stilton, Cambridgeshire and is easy to get to from the A1, Junction 16.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
