About me
Hello, I’m Leah (she/her). I’m a UKCP-accredited, relational gestalt psychotherapist. I work from my private clinic located in the grounds of Norwich Cathedral; I provide an affirming and inclusive space. I’m also a Mum, writer and poet.
I work in an empathetic and holding way to help you discover a way forward and gain new perspectives on your life. Whether you’re feeling stuck, anxious, low mood, or experiencing low self-worth or challenges with your relationships, we can work together to explore what’s most important to you. Together, we can be curious towards your thoughts and feelings, which can lead to a better understanding of what you need most.
I identify as a woman and hold an open, fluid understanding of gender and identity in myself and others. My work is neuro-affirmative, trauma-informed, and welcoming of people across a range of sexualities, identities, relationship styles, and faiths.
I can help with a range of areas, including anxiety, low mood and depression, identity, low self-esteem, stress, relationship issues, childhood trauma, bereavements, sexual abuse, spirituality, neurodivergence, as well as offering support for parents of neurodivergent children.
Other areas include parenting – supporting with change, identity in motherhood/fatherhood/parenting challenges, and postnatal depression. I’m also able to support people experiencing insomnia and other sleep issues such as sleep paralysis, nightmares and anxiety dreams.
I’m interested in creative ways of working for those also interested in this. This might include dream work, journalling, art therapy, and sand tray therapy. These ways of working might not suit everyone, but they are choices and options we can explore if this feels like a fit for you. Poetry and art may also inform one or more of our sessions. Again, the inclusion of this is always led by what you feel drawn to when we meet.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.
The UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) is a leading professional body for the education, training and regulation of psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors. Its register is accredited by the government's Professional Standards Authority.
As part of its commitment to protect the public, it works to improve access to psychotherapy, to support and disseminate research, to improve standards and to respond effectively to complaints against its members.
UKCP standards cover the range of different psychotherapies. Registration is obtained by training or accrediting with one of its member organisations, or by holding a European Certificate in Psychotherapy. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

What is Gestalt Psychotherapy?
Gestalt therapy is a humanistic and embodied approach that includes all of you – your bodily sensations, which can offer us clues, in addition to what you’re saying. I’ve personally found Gestalt therapy to be a beautifully rich and inspiring way to uncover your inner world. It can help you increase your freedom, self-awareness, and can support you in making better choices. It can help you to be fully you.
I work relationally, which, in simple terms, means I’m interested in the relationship between us and the interplay in your other relationships, allowing you to experiment in a holding space that enables you to flourish in the world. In short, Gestalt is a really enriching and non-labelling way of exploring your process holistically, leading to greater self-awareness and allowing you to become more choiceful.
